It is known that this is the first time Ronaldo has returned to China since 2018 when he was with Real Madrid. Besides meeting fans again, this visit is also an opportunity for the Portuguese superstar to reunite with an old friend he has not seen for a long time.

At first, Ronaldo did not recognize Dong Fangzhuo but then appeared very happy and actively shook hands with his former teammate. The two former MU players had a few minutes to greet and chat with each other.

Former Chinese player Dong Fangzhuo is Ronaldo’s friend. He joined Manchester United in 2004 from Dalian Shide and became the club’s first and only Chinese player.

In 2008, Dong Fangzhuo officially said goodbye to MU to return to Dalian Shide. A year later, his same-age teammate Ronaldo also left to join Real Madrid.
